Save Responses with Memos

Gary gives great answers. Memos lets you keep them.

When a Gary response is exactly what you need — the right analysis, the right format, the right level of detail — Memos saves that prompt and response pair to your personal collection. No re-running the same question. No scrolling back through old conversations. The answer is there when you need it again.

Why This Matters

  • The best Gary outputs are worth keeping. Memos turns a one-time answer into a reusable asset.

  • Institutional knowledge lives in Gary conversations. Memos is how you stop it from disappearing when the chat window closes.

  • Your team runs the same analysis repeatedly. Save the response once. Pull it back up every time instead of starting from scratch.

Save a Memo

  1. In a Gary conversation, hover over any AI response

  2. Click the save icon that appears on the message

  3. A save panel opens — add a title, toggle whether to include the prompt, review the response body, and add any tags for sorting

  4. Click Save

The memo saves to your personal Memos collection immediately.

Save AI-Generated Images to a Memo

When Gary generates an image — a chart, a visualization, or any image output — you can save it to a memo alongside the prompt and response that produced it.

  1. Hover over the Gary response that contains the image.

  2. Click the save icon that appears on the message.

  3. The save panel opens. The image is included automatically alongside the response body.

  4. Add a title and any tags, then click Save.

The memo saves the image as part of the response. When you reopen the memo, the image is there alongside the text.

Attach a Memo to a Conversation

Attach any saved memo to a Gary chat conversation to reuse it without retyping. Gary receives the full prompt and response from the memo as context.

  1. In the Gary chat composer, click the attachment icon (the + or paperclip icon).

  2. Select Memos from the attachment picker.

  3. Browse your saved memos. Memos shared with you by other users are indicated with a shared label.

  4. Select the memo you want to attach.

  5. Send your message. Gary receives the full memo content as part of the conversation.

The stored memo is not changed when you attach it — Gary reads from it but the original stays as you saved it.

Access Your Memos

  1. In the Gary sidebar on the left, click Memos

  2. Browse your saved collection — each memo shows its title, the conversation it came from, and any tags you added

  3. Use the search bar to filter by keyword or tag

  4. Click any memo to view the full saved response

Add or Edit Tags

Tags let you organize and filter your memos. To add or edit tags on a saved memo:

  1. Locate the memo in your collection

  2. Click Edit

  3. Add or update tags

  4. Save

Share a Memo

Share any of your memos with other users in your tenant. Recipients can read the shared memo and attach it to their own Gary conversations, but cannot edit it.

To share a memo:

  1. In your Memos collection, locate the memo you want to share.

  2. Click the share icon or open the memo options menu.

  3. Select the user or group you want to share with.

  4. Confirm. The recipient can now see the memo in their collection, labeled as shared.

To stop sharing:

Open the memo, go to sharing settings, and remove access. The memo is removed from the recipient's collection immediately.

FAQ

Is this the whole conversation thread? No. Memos saves individual responses, not the full conversation. To save a full conversation, use Export as PDF or JSON. See Export and Import Gary Conversations.

Are my memos visible to anyone else? By default, memos are personal — only you can see your collection. You can choose to share individual memos with other users in your tenant. Shared memos are read-only for recipients. See Share a Memo above.

How is this different from the Prompt Library? The Prompt Library contains pre-built prompts your admin has made available for your team. Memos saves the full response from your own Gary conversations. They serve different purposes and work well together.
