Your First Day in CORAS.ai
Before you begin: This section assumes you've completed account setup and have been pointed to a node by your CSM. If you haven't done that yet, start with Welcome to CORAS.ai →
By the end of this section, you'll have asked Gary a real question about your real data and gotten a real answer. Most people get there in under ten minutes.
Why This Matters
The first Gary conversation is the one that changes how your team thinks about what's possible. Everything that follows builds from it.
You don't need to understand the full platform to get started. Gary works with whatever data is already in your node. Start there and let the rest follow naturally.
Step 1: Find Your Data
When you log in, you land on the Map. Your data lives in nodes (workspaces for your programs, units, or projects). Nodes group into collections — portfolios, mission areas, or commands.
Navigate to the node your CSM pointed you to. Inside it you'll find a SmartList — the structured data view Gary works from. Click it to open it.
Don't see data yet? Reach out to your CSM before moving on — they'll get you pointed at the right place.
Step 2: Open Gary
Click Ask Gary next to the SmartList search bar. Gary opens already scoped to that list — he's looking at your data from the moment you start.
Step 3: Ask a Real Question
Start anywhere. Try one of these:
"Summarize this SmartList."
"What are the major risks in this program?"
"Which records are missing key fields?"
"Is anything overdue?"
"What stands out in this data?"
"What can you tell me about this data?"
Read what Gary surfaces. Follow up. Ask him to go deeper on something he found. That's a Gary conversation — and every one after this gets better.
